Vacation Day #5

Amanda's 19th Birthday
Road trip day! Another thing the kids like to do is go to Chutters in Littleton NH. Its a candy store that holds the Guinness world record for the longest candy counter. I like to drag the trip out and stop along the way :) We packed the cooler and hit the road with everyone but Jeremy and Brittny. They stayed behind because they had other plans.
First stop is always a scenic spot overlooking Mt Washington. Its on Route 302 right where Crawford Notch begins.
Next Stop, Willey Pond. Its at the site where the Willey Family all died in an landslide almost 200 years ago. Their house actually made it through the landslide unharmed but the family had fled. The house isn't there anymore but there is an information center and bathrooms. Across the road is Willey Pond and one of my favorite places to visit in the White Mountains.
This is the level of cooperation I get when trying to take photos of my girls!
We had some lunch here at the picnic tables and the kids fed the ducks. Then we got back in our cars and headed up the road to The Mount Washington Hotel.
